(indicating that he was a transient.) The above shows only that he
possibly was giving another unsolvable clue to his name by typing
his name using spaces for the actual characters. This was pointed
out by an instructor friend of the author's when she was told that
the line after "BY" was not long enough to accommodate
the 18 characters of Davis' full name. She observed that this was
an optical illusion and suggested using a ruler to mark off the
spaces.
